Aimee Smallwood, CEO, Holds a B.A. in Anthropology and Master’s Studies in Art History from Louisiana State University. She also holds certification from the Madison Institute at the University of Wisconsin in Annual and Major Gifts. Ms. Smallwood has more than 20 years experience in the nonprofit community. She was previously Executive Director for the Slidell Memorial Hospital Foundation from 2007 to 2011. Smallwood held a number of development positions at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans for more than 18 years and was Associate Director of the institution for the last three. Previous to her tenure at the Contemporary Arts Center, Aimee was Associate Personnel Manager for Macy’s New Orleans and managed a battered women’s program and shelter in the area. As a consultant, she has written grants, conducted workshops and conducted feasibility studies for a number of nonprofit organizations and individual artists. She is a frequent grants panelist and speaker for meetings and conferences and has served as a committee member constructing strategic plans for diverse organizations. Ms. Smallwood is the immediate Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Northshore Chapter and is President-Elect for the St. Tammany Business Women’s Network. She recently served as a Rotarian and an Ambassador for the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Smallwood oversees all activities and programs of the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation.
